CCTV Camera security solutions for the reactivation of Access Control System the retail vertical

CCTV Camera

we have developed and optimized security solutions for parking garages that can help the retail sector to regain strength after a heartfelt crisis.

In the business world of the United States, the phrase " no parking, no business " is used a lot . And it is true. The impact on the turnover of a business has a direct relationship with the ease of parking the vehicle, especially in the world of retail.

It is therefore very common for large businesses and shopping centers to have large parking lots that are totally free, with several hours exonerated or paid.

The parking lot is the place where the user experience begins when visiting the store or shopping center, and the correct management and optimization of this resource has a great impact on that experience.

As an access route to the shopping center, the car park is an ideal point both for establishing security measures and for collecting important data for marketing departments.

Solutions

In the retail field, and specifically the management of its car parks, Neural Labs has been providing solutions for years that help address the following problems:

· Capacity control

· Prevention of entry of vehicles reported as "conflictive"

· Management of Notices to VIP clients

· Preventing fraudulent claims for vehicle damage

· Management / statistics of stay times

· Support in the resolution of incidents in the commercial center

· Data collection and analysis for customer segmentation, marketing, etc.

Implementation of these solutions Architecture

we propose the installation of cameras that capture vehicle characteristics at all entrances, exits and sub-areas that you want to monitor.

Through their technology, these CCTV Cameras will collect the following data from each vehicle that enters:

· Registration (vital to individualize each access)

· Vehicle brand (very useful in marketing)

· Vehicle Color

· Vehicle type

· Direction of the vehicle (in bi-directional lanes)

· Vehicle country

· Date and time of entry or exit

These can be conventional IP CCTV camera (Hikvision, Varito, Dahua, etc.). They only need to be previously validated by Neural Labs consultants to ensure that they fit the scenario to be controlled.

The use of these standard cameras, which can be purchased locally, is one of the keys to reducing the cost of the solution, without any loss of performance.

In the event that you want to know the detail of occupation by floors or parking areas, additional cameras must be installed at the entrances to those areas.

Detail of the solutions

1. Capacity control

Through the recognition of license plates in all entrances, exits and sub-zones, global gauges are monitored at all times as well as each one of the zones (by floors, for example).

In this way, the parking manager will at all times have a vision of how both the global capacity and the capacity by zones are. With the installation of cameras at the entrances and exits of the zones, the system could even guide the driver to the zones where there are free spaces.

In addition, the system knows the exact list of vehicles that are in the car park at all times, the time they have been inside, as well as the area in which they are parked. In the event of any incident, it is very important to know if a vehicle is parked in the mall or shop. For example, when suspected of terrorism, abandonment of stolen cars, etc.

The system stores historical capacity data to be able to make statistics or distributions a posteriori.

2. Prevention of entry of vehicles reported as "conflictive"

The solution allows the creation of unlimited lists, as well as the automatic import of these from other systems. One of the most common uses is to create a list of “suspicious” vehicles to which you can add criminals who have already caused problems in the past.

These lists are very useful for the security personnel of the mall who will receive an alert if any of these vehicles tries to enter.

3. Management of notices to VIP clients

With the same list management, you can create a list of clients that require special treatment or attention, such as personalities, managers or VIP clients.

Regardless of the list in which the vehicle is detected (repeat thieves, VIP clients, etc.), the system allows the sending of alerts by WhatsApp to security personnel outside the control center.

4. Prevention of fraudulent claims for damage to the vehicle

The establishments that charge the customer for parking must be held responsible for external damage suffered by the vehicles inside; This opens up the possibility of false damage claims.

The most common solution to this problem is the installation of side cameras that record the state of the vehicle when it enters.

These recordings can be managed by a VMS (Milestone, Hanwha, Vast2, etc.) and indexed by license plate recognition.

The practical effect is that, before a claim, it is enough to enter the license plate in the VMS and you will have access to the video fragments where it appears, in order to verify the damages reported by the client.

The installation of a VMS is not strictly necessary, since the Neural Labs solution is capable of making small video clips of evidence with these additional cameras.

However, its implementation is highly recommended, as it enriches the global solution by adding video management capabilities to Neural Labs' video analytics capabilities.

Management of stay time statistics

The Neural Labs solution for retail allows to know the times of permanence of the clients in the car park. This data is extremely important for:

· Knowing the average time of permanence of the clients in the establishment, in short, to better know the clients and their habits

· Detect illegal parking lots of people who use free retail parking lots for other purposes, such as:

·

o Go to work. The system, for example, could detect that this vehicle parks Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm

o Go shopping at other nearby establishments that either do not have parking or charge for it

o Arrive from outside the city and leave the vehicle in the retail parking lot to take public transport and make arrangements, etc.

· It also allows to have statistics and distributions of these times of stay in a historical way to analyze the evolution in these

· Support for the resolution of incidents in the shopping center or shop

· All vehicle data detected at the entrances and exits are stored for your consultation

· In the event of an incident in the establishment such as a robbery, you can search the historical data stored by:

·

o Registration or part of it

o Vehicle color

o Vehicle brand

o Vehicle type (van, passenger car, motorcycle, etc.)

o Time slot

For example, you could search for black vehicles, Nissan brand, tourism, whose registration ends in 033, that left the establishment on a specific day between 5 pm and 6 pm

These types of incident investigations allow the person responsible to be caught, denied access, or generated a warning if they try to return to the mall.

Historical data has multiple applications and is consulted for a myriad of reasons.

Data collection and analysis for customer segmentation, marketing, etc.

solution collects vehicle data such as brand, color and type, information that is very useful for understanding customers and for segmentation.

At the moment the vehicle enters the shopping center, segmented advertising can be presented based on said data. The advertising in this case would be for one of the establishments in the shopping center.

Analyzing this data in the historical database can help create a profile of the typical merchant customer and measure the impact of campaigns to attract certain types of customers.

VMS support

Neural Labs solutions are integrated with a wide number of VMS's (Milestone, BVMS, VAST2, Wave, Avigilon, Indigo Vision, etc.)

This allows you to add the license plate recognition cameras and the auditing cameras to the existing VMS in the trade.

The solution indexes all vehicle features and alerts in the VMS system and allows quick access to recordings with a simple license plate search.

The combination of the two technologies makes the solution for retail more complete, taking into account that in most facilities there is already a VMS recording the security cameras of the trade.

Centralization of data

solution allows you to operate both centrally and decent rally. Every mall, trade, etc. You can send the data to a central server where all the data from all the businesses is unified.

This is especially useful in chains of shopping centers, food, etc., since it allows a global vision of the state of the establishments at the same time that statistics and consolidated statistics can be extracted, as well as comparisons between shopping centers, etc.

It is also possible to centralize the management of some lists of dangerous or VIP vehicles that can be downloaded automatically by all shopping centers, so that the entire network of shops could share lists of common interest.

Combination with other analytics and systems

The combination with facial recognition Time Attendance Machine, for example, closes the circle of the solution in the field of security.

With Neural Labs solutions, parking is controlled and the entry of vehicles reported as dangerous is prevented; with facial recognition, the same would apply to access for people.

These two technologies complement each other to improve the security of shopping centers, for example.

Many establishments have a PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) system that unifies the management of the different security systems. Integration with these is of vital importance in order to provide a single operating platform.

Conclusions

The retail is not going through good times. Also, in the United States there is already talk of “retail apocalypse”. And the strong competition from companies like Amazon is wearing down this sector that is trying to reinvent itself.

The application of all these solutions affects the improvement of the customer experience —something very necessary at this time of uncertainty for the sector— and allows obtaining highly useful information for the business or shopping center.

With CCTV Camera How to meet security challenges in sports stadiums and other entertainment facilities?

CCTV Camera

All entertainment facilities have security challenges, but sports arenas definitely top the list. These facilities, where thousands of people regularly congregate, have to meet demanding special criteria for safety, security, communication and building automation.

Security risks within a stadium include fire, riot, vandalism, and terrorism. Outside the venue, similar risks apply to spectators waiting to enter or exit after a match.

Since human safeguarding has absolute priority, the only responsible action is to take advantage of the best available technology to satisfy the security, safeguarding and communication needs within sports stadiums.

Among the main challenges of this type of facility are:

  • Fires, terrorist attacks, riots and vandalism that need to be prevented and countered.
  • Special protection for athletes and staff of the place.
  • The need to separate sections of crowds (eg supporters supporting different teams in soccer games).

To effectively manage a stadium during commercial operations, large events such as concerts and other activities, it is necessary to have a wide range of products and solutions that allow:

  • Efficiently monitor all areas and activities to immediately detect fires, emergencies and threats.
  • Detect potentially hostile groups at an early stage to avoid risks of riots and violence.
  • Conduct rapid and controlled evacuations.
  • Integration of all security and communication solutions in a building management system.
  • Effectively hold press conferences about sporting events and support multiple uses of the stadium.

The fires near or within the stadiums are a great threat. Quickly detecting, locating and verifying a fire is vital to contain it and protect people and property.

This is possible with panels and fire detectors that allow:

  • Apply smart criteria to ensure fast and reliable detection under a variety of conditions.
  • Maximize flexibility with modular systems, for example for future expansion.
  • Interface with sprinkler, ventilation and public address systems to fight any type of fire.

In these types of situations, it is vital to maximize safety by evacuating the stadium. Large-scale evacuations take time, and if panic breaks out, the situation can quickly become very dangerous.

Clear announcements support a coordinated evacuation to keep everything under control. That is why public address and audio evacuation systems are necessary that allow announcements to be made only in certain areas or everywhere at the same time, guaranteeing complete coverage and audibility throughout the stadium.

On the other hand, vandalism and disturbances are serious problems in this type of entertainment facility and the ability to control these safety and security risks is crucial. The presence of crowds in relatively small spaces increases vulnerability to these problems, including bomb threats and terrorist attacks.

To avoid problems, it is often necessary to physically separate the fans from the opposing teams. Unauthorized individuals also need to be out of sensitive areas to reduce the risk of attacks or disturbances. Spectators must be monitored inside and outside the stadium from a central control room.

For this purpose, a video system allows complete management of all video surveillance elements. High-resolution CCTV cameras can continuously monitor groups of people approaching and entering the stadium, as well as the bleacher areas to identify attackers. Special directional microphones can be used to record events.

Intelligent video analysis enables early detection of suspicious behavior such as loitering or entering restricted locations, alerting the security operator when required. It should have the function that provides quick retrieval of relevant video footage.

To guarantee high security outside operating hours, it is vital to have intrusion alarm panels and detectors for all types of applications, which in combination with CCTV systems, allow advanced video verification in case of activation of an intrusion alarm.

Many modern sports stadiums are multipurpose spaces that also host concerts and other cultural events. These facilities require professional audio systems that are capable of reproducing music with the highest quality and that at the same time can be used for evacuations.

Effective communication and professional sound are essential not only to handle security issues, but also to create a good atmosphere and host other types of events such as concerts. Modular emergency PA and sound systems are ideal for making live announcements and also for background music.

Stadium-sized spaces inevitably have many securities, safeguard, communication, and automation systems in place. That is why there is a considerable need to efficiently manage such systems.

A building integration system provides a web-based control center to monitor all of the building's security, safeguard and management systems. This includes the management and rapid location of alarms through location maps and a follow-up of procedures. It integrates fire and intrusion alarms as well as evacuation, access control system, CCTV and building automation systems in a single platform.

Using these platforms allows a single operator to monitor and control all security systems, as well as allowing faster response to emergencies and greater overall efficiency.

Ethernet devices grow in video surveillance segment

As the IT industry matures and consolidates more and more, the manufacturers of Ethernet devices are looking for new market segments to diversify their offerings. According to a recent IHS report, the video surveillance industry may be a lucrative option in that regard.

The process of migration from analog networks to digital video surveillance networks and the continuous expansion in the use of this type of systems has maintained growth rates in this market, with the current forecast of a 21.6% increase in equipment sales. for surveillance.

In addition, even greater growth is expected in the market for Ethernet devices or switches that are used in video surveillance applications. In fact, IHS expects this segment to more than double over the next three years and reach $ 500 million.

Although most network security cameras are PoE capable, end users are only just realizing the potential of their use.

This is due to the increase in compatibility between different manufacturers thanks to the use of common standards and has caused installers to design video surveillance systems with PoE.

Likewise, the increasing size and complexity of video surveillance projects also contribute to the growth of the Ethernet switch market.

This market opportunity is already being taken advantage of by some companies such as D-link and Extreme Networks, who offer products specially designed for the security sector and it is to be expected that more and more companies will follow the same path.

High-end CCTV cameras growing Bangladesh

High-end CCTV cameras growing Bangladesh

Creating new products based on science is one of the principles of GCTL, where scientific developments are the key point and engineering adapts to science. that the company is making new customizable developments for each user

One such development is the Hikvision CCTV camera, which recently went on sale and has received positive feedback. Until the end, there had been two pre-sold runs, as it is still looking for a way to create a stock, since these cameras were designed to be customized according to the needs of each user, explains Manuel.

In general, the strength of Arecont Vision's developments are panoramic cameras, according to although new features are presented to cover the market niches that require it.

Cameras capable of "seeing" without light

The Hikvision CCTV camera is one of Arecont's most outstanding projects for this year, as it is a configurable device that can cover from 180 ° to 360 ° of visual range, allowing to see under the camera, being a single device with a single cable, as points out; also stresses that the Omni "has no competition, as there is no other manufacturer that offers a similar product."

On the other hand, the company has presented its new series of Stellar cameras, which will allow a visualization with great detail at 30 Fps, with "practically no light", which means that, "with 1 megapixel of resolution, we can see better than with any VGA camera”. In this sense, that light is no longer a factor in determining the sharpness of the captured image, since "the problem of the need for lighting is increasingly being compensated with technology."

increases demand for cameras

It should be noted that advanced CCTV camera technology is on the rise in the region, since of the camera runs launched, eight of them were located in the Latin American market, and they also have a vertical project, with a term of nine years, to which decided to use the cameras of the brand, according.

For the company, this means that Bangladesh is a market with exponential growth and bd, in particular, is an "interesting market", because "it demands a lot of consumption of low-cost products" and from what is marketed in this country, it can be reached others from the Andean region, such as Dhaka, which means that Bangladesh "will continue as our commitment in the years to come,".

How to protect a CCTV from unauthorized access?

Due to the demand for video surveillance systems, today we find closed circuit television (CCTV) in many parts such as stores, airports, banks, government buildings, shopping centers, offices, residences, etc., seeking to improve security and increase the protection of people and assets, but in the same way that its use has become widespread, threats against the valuable information that is captured and saved by this system.

The protection of critical information, captured by CCTV, begins from the moment it is implemented. “The first step is to do a general review of the system to verify its proper functioning. There are checklists, where a series of tests are contemplated to which the system must be submitted when its installation is completed. Among them are, the verification of the recording of all the cameras, the configuration of recording schedules, the creation of users and security codes, as well as the export tests of videos to external media and supports”.

At this stage, one of the most common mistakes is to leave the administration password that the equipment comes from the factory by default. The recommendation is to first change that password and use what is called strong passwords, which combine letters, numbers and special characters. Additionally, you must have firewall or firewall type devices in case the computers have Internet access.

Likewise, GCTL mentions that “the recording equipment must be in a restricted access area and its shelves or racks must be locked, in order to prevent any possible sabotage, and the recording monitoring room must have access control to prevent security personnel are vulnerable to assault. With regard to password protection, different levels or security profiles must be used for each user, that is, operator users should not have access to the system configuration, only administrators should have this type of privilege”.

Other practical recommendations to take into account are, firstly, to disable the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) protocol of the cameras because it makes the devices visible to any user of a PC with Windows operating system on the network. Although said user does not have the possibility of accessing the devices, he can visualize and this can generate a potential security problem.

In all cases, there must be proven suitable operating personnel and a strict maintenance program must be carried out on the equipment to ensure that its effectiveness is 100%.

Smart CCTV camera trend

Smart CCTV camera trend

The city of Cincinnati built a room called the " Real Time Crime Center " where operators view high-definition CCTV camera images to monitor the streets live while police are on the move to take a call. When, for example, the center receives the alert that a stolen vehicle passed through one of the areas monitored by cameras with license plate recognition CCTV camera, the vehicle is monitored visually through Hikvision CCTV camera. This is the beginning of a trend in the field of security that is expected to be reinforced next year: the use of smart CCTV camera. In fact, many cities around the world are already preparing for that reality. Network cameras for video surveillance, or IP, continue to replace analog CCTV Camera installations, within a natural process of technological migration. As this migration takes place, the demand for more advanced functionality increases, because it is impossible to control all cameras in detail 24 hours a day. They must be able to detect suspicious actions and generate responses automatically. Advances in image quality, high-performance processors and improved algorithm software have led the way to this trend through the use of video analytics, which allow, in addition to displaying images on a video screen in a control center, analyze the scene for evidence.

A representative of the Cincinnati Police Department went so far as to say that "the digital zoom is so sharp that we can read details like a vehicle license plate from two blocks away" - demonstrating the importance of image quality. In general, video analytics allow companies and law enforcement to make sense of the large number of images that cameras produce. The cameras can generate alerts and automatic actions in real time, help highlight information contained in the video through metadata and contribute to the creation of the concept of smart cities. Market research experts Market and Markets predict that by 2020, the video analytics market will be worth $ 3.9 billion - more than double the current $ 1.5 billion. In airports, for example, the adoption of facial recognition CCTV Camera technology is increasingly common. The images were crossed in a couple of seconds with databases - for example, a police blacklist - and the security personnel are alert from the moment of check in. Other currently available video analytics applications range from motion detection to alarms designed to detect camera tampering, people counting Camera , and intrusion detection in delimited areas. Increasingly, video analytics is used for business intelligence purposes, for example to analyze consumer behavior and improve the shopping experience in stores and shopping centers.

Even those who are not yet installing video analytics are already interested in that, and are taking that trend into account when adopting new cameras. With the opening of its first store in Uruguay, the stores installed a people counting system, and the cameras are ready to process further analysis in the future. Next year, new smart facilities should be announced in shopping malls, sports centers and highways.

Solve real problems

This list of places with smart cameras can be much longer. In fact, video analytics applications can be used for the most diverse functions within a wide range of network cameras. They can be adjusted to suit most situations and usage scenarios - many cameras offer an open platform for application development, with the integration of third-party solutions in mind.

In accordance with the maturation of video analytics technologies, we should have, as of next year, a greater range of low-cost, easy-to-install, custom-made solutions. There are a variety of smart apps gaining ground, and promises to show this change more clearly.

Internet of things

Another novelty at the end of the year is the platform that integrates video with the IoT (Internet of Things). This solution allows integrating alarms, access control, and other systems directly through their respective accessories, such as biometrics and sensors (they have more than 60 devices that can be integrated into this platform: sound, smoke, air), among others.

The platform is software compatible with Bolide video recorders. “A Gateway is located, and this allows the devices to be connected through the internet. It works with a special protocol that for IT people is very safe, because to hack it is very difficult. It is very interesting because now the video is going to be like another element of the internet. This platform allows executing commands that can be used to give certain orders, for example if the camera detects something in particular it can be ordered to close a door, turn on the light, etc. " says Salinas.

Market positioning

Bolide has been a specialized video surveillance company for 20 years. They sell through distributors, but they also work closely with integrators and the end user to ensure the success of the projects. But the vice president of the brand assures that the focus for the future will be to support the work of integrators who carry out IT projects or solutions, beyond just video surveillance.

With respect to the vertical markets towards which they are focused, for example in Colombia the financial sector, government, and transportation stand out. “The latter has grown a lot for us because we have a platform that is the best there really is for mobile security. We have installed it in taxis, buses, trains, even in airplanes. Precisely the United States Air Force is using us to obtain positioning, video and other alarms and analytics that we have within the platform,” says Salinas.

Another emerging market for the brand is retail, where they see many opportunities precisely with the new IoT platform that has a high growth perspective.

Training

The company conducts constant seminars and virtual training. In addition, GCTL conducts training, seminars and face-to-face workshops with distributors
in Bangladesh, where they travel to the main cities such as Dhaka, Chittagong, Gazipur and Narayanganj. When it is an integrator who is interested in a certification, they also carry out a specialized one for that integrator.

How to contact GCTL?

In Bangladesh there is a direct GCTL office where there are commercial executives and also engineers who support the entire Dhaka Region. There it is possible to contact them to purchase a product through a distributor. SAC, Security Import and CDC (Connectivity Center) are in the country as distributors.

In Bangladesh they work in the same way, specifically they work with distributors in Bangladesh and Dhaka. "If there are countries where we still do not have distribution, we can work directly with the integrator,"

The Most Important Parameters To Choose The Right CCTV Cameras

CCTV Camera
CCTV Camera

When choosing a suitable IP camera, there are several important parameters that you should pay attention to. In the following lines we will list the most important ones.

Resolution

The most important parameter that affects the quality of the camera is its resolution. This determines the amount of detail that the camera can capture. The farther an object is from the camera, the greater the benefit of high resolution. Thanks to this, you can recognize e.g. the face of a potential thief from a greater distance, resp. in higher quality.

The resolution can be expressed by two parameters. Size in megapixels (MPx) or number of horizontal and vertical pixels .

The most common are cameras that have a resolution of 2MPx , which means that the camera can capture approximately 2 million pixels in the image. This resolution corresponds to e.g. 1920x1080 resolution (also known as Full HD). You can easily find the resolution in megapixels very easily. Just multiply the number of vertical pixels by the number of horizontal pixels. In this case, 1920 * 1080 = 2 073 6000, which is rounded to 2 million pixels, i.e. 2 megapixels.

All you need to know about resolution is that the higher it goes, the better. Commonly available IP cameras have a resolution of up to 8MPx.

Frame rate

The second most important parameter that affects quality is the frame rate. As you probably know, a video is nothing more than a series of images followed in quick succession.

So the camera works on the principle that it captures the current scene over and over again. This happens many times per second. And that's how often the frame rate tells us. The frame rate is given in FPS units . (frames per second)

When choosing an IP camera, you will usually encounter values from 12.5 to 60 FPS . Again, the higher the value, the better.

The number of frames per second is especially important when changing rapidly in the monitored environment. In practice, it can be e.g. a motor vehicle passing by or a fleeing thief. In this regard of lower number of images, it often happens that moving objects are blurred, which makes it essentially more difficult or even impossible to identify them (e.g. the face of a thief or the registration number of the vehicle). But the savings are redeemed precisely by the limitation in the form of a lower frame rate.

Lens focal length and angle of view

The angle of view, as the name suggests, determines the camera's view. Choosing the right angle is very important and depends on the desired use and location of the camera.

For example, in a narrow corridor, it will be appropriate to choose a camera with a narrower angle of view, so that we can use the potential of the camera as reasonably as possible and not capture unnecessary parts of the space, such as side walls. Conversely, in a larger room and open space, you will need to capture the image at a greater angle to cover the space with a camera system as efficiently and without blind spots.

You will normally encounter angles of view from 23 to 114  and with fisheye cameras up to 360  .

The angle of view is directly determined by the focal length of the camera lens. This is given in millimeters and its values for conventional cameras range from 2.8 to 12 mm. A special category consists of cameras with so-called varifocal lens . From the point of view of the angle of view, it is practically a universal camera on which it is possible to set the focal length as needed.

All you need to know about the focal length of the lens is that the higher it is, the narrower the camera's angle of view.

Infrared illumination

Infrared illumination allows the camera to be seen even at night. The range of the illumination and the type of infrared diode technology of the camera are important for this parameter.

Cameras with IR / LED or ExIR illumination are appearing on the market. Cameras with IR / LED illumination use older and less advanced technology than those with ExIR diodes.

The range of afterglow for currently sold cameras ranges from 30 to 200 meters. However, the effective range is usually around 50% of the stated value, so if, for example, you want the camera to fully see at 50 meters at night, you will ideally need a camera with a backlight range of 100 meters. Although the camera can continue to illuminate, the intensity of the illumination will decrease with each additional meter.

The dawn of the camera is, of course, invisible to the human eye.

Resilience

The resistance of the camera (technically called the degree of protection by the cover) determines the certified level of protection against various adverse effects. It is divided into two types. Protection against penetration of objects or particles and protection against mechanical damage.

Resistance to penetration of objects or particles (eg dust or water) is indicated by the index IP and resistance to mechanical damage by the index IK .

The highest IP rating is IP68 , which guarantees protection against permanent immersion in water. IP cameras most often have a rating of IP66 (protection against intense splashing water) or IP67 . (protection in case of temporary immersion in water)

Regarding protection against mechanical damage, the IK rating is divided according to the energy of the impact. Protection against mechanical damage has an 11-degree scale. From IK00 (unprotected) to IK10 (impact protection with a force of up to 20 joules) Cameras with an IK10 rating are referred to as "anti-vandal" cameras .

Compression

Compression is the ability to process and store data more efficiently. In the case of an image and sound camera. Uncompressed raw video would be huge in size and could not be transmitted in real time over the Internet or efficiently stored. Therefore, each video must be automatically compressed when captured.

Today, the two most common compression methods are H.264 (also known as x264) or H.265 (x265). The latter method is more modern and is the successor to the former. However, it requires higher computing power and therefore some cheaper or older cameras do not support it.

The difference between the two methods is in data saving. Compression with H.265 is in some cases more economical by more than 50%. In practice, this means that you only need a slower internet connection to view the current events on the camera, but mainly that the recordings from the camera will take up half the storage space

Recording device

We should make cameras, now just turn them into a camera system. This is the so-called NVR recorder . It is a device that can combine cameras into a system. Thanks to the recorder, we can watch the cameras much easier, switch between them, control them, and most importantly, it will take care of storing the camera record.

How many days can CCTV store videos?

Nowadays many need to record videos and pictures for a long time. Most hostels need a long history. Usually, the latest CCTV camera in bd can record for 90 days. In some sophisticated sectors there needs significant storage to record important events.

How much data does a CCTV camera consume a day?

Different types of CCTV cameras consume different amounts of data. In steady-state, some CCTV cameras consume 5 Kbps. In some cases, some cameras can consume 6 Mbps.

Conclusion

It is a foregone conclusion that the above parameters are the standards to choose the best CCTV cameras. If someone follows the tips and parameters to select the desired CCTV cameras they will surely be successful in choosing the best CCTV cameras. You can check the CCTV camera price in Bangladesh.
